What's WORLD WAR?

WORLD WAR is a regional competition BMS event.
Composers who love each region fight against authors belonging to other areas.

Rule

・Bsubmissions must be in a BMS format. There are no restrictions in musical genres in this event.
　The submissions could be an original piece, an arrangement, or a reproduction of a pre-existing song.
　But be considerate of consequences when you sample sounds / vocals at a large scale.

・The competition will be between the following regions: Asia, 秋津洲獨立行政地域, Germanen Europe, Latin Europe, United Southern Hemisphere (Africa-Oceania), All America.

・Both producers and impressor must clarify which region they’re associated with.Only one work can be registered per person.

・Selection of the region could be based on the composer/impressor’s birth, nation of where the genre one plans to make originated, etc.
　The selection of region is unrestricted but the BMS made must be related to that region.

・The scoring scale will be from 0 ～ 10 points.

・Team scores will be calculated using a particular function based off of each teammates total score and median score.
　It will be updated every day at midnight (JST).
・Regional score formula：Total of「(score×Mysterious coefficient 1 + Average score×Mysterious coefficient 2)×Population ratio」
　※Mysterious coefficient is secret

・Attending the event anonymously is permitted.

・If an extended BMS definition such as .pms or .bmson is being used, make sure to clarify that in the comments.

・Impressions on allied teams are not prohibited. However, this does not apply if they were involved in the production of the work.

・Personal attacks and slanders are not permitted.

・We will be using -Digital Emergency Exit 3- (DEE3) for the main event site.

Special Rule

Extraterrestrial beings from the BM98 nebula are planning an attack on Earth! Regions must strengthen their forces to fight against invaders!

・A team of extraterrestrial beings from the BM98 nebula will be will be joining the event as an opposing force
　The team’s regional score calculation function will be different from that of the Earth teams, which will favor the invaders.

・In addition to the actively invading alien team, there will be 5 aliens in disguise on earth.
　Their scores will be added to the regional team’s score, but will also greatly contribute to the invader team.

・The aliens will be selected by the event organizer, so normal participants will be joining the event on the Earth team’s side.

・During the event period, there will be a vote by the impressors and the participants to find the aliens.
　Each individual will have one vote, and the 5 participants with the most votes will be prosecuted as hidden aliens.
　In the case that the prosecuted participants were the aliens in disguise,
　their scores that were added to the Extraterrestrial team will be removed, and thus the aliens will have less points.
　Nothing will happen if a normal participant is mistakenly accused.

・Other than scores gained by normal means, there will be an achievement system where if some task is completed scores will be added.

Q&A

・Am I allowed to register to multiple regions?
　　No, one participant is only allowed to register in one region. But if the participant is using a pseudonym, the event organizers will be unable to recognize that. What that means is… we will not go into details here.

・Do I have to pre-register to attend?
　　Pre-registration is not required, but it is better to register if possible to help negotiate regional disparity adjustments and other issues.
　　Most of all...the organizers are pleased.

・Aren't areas with fewer people at a disadvantage?
　　"Population ratio"have some advantage in areas with small numbers of people. It will be set up to work.
　　Therefore, having fewer people is not a disadvantage, nor is having more people an advantage.
